East Coast School of Languages East Coast School of Languages (ECSL)
We understand that a student's language school experience lasts a lifetime and that choosing where to study is a major decision. Our students describe our school as a family, where they feel comfortable and cared for. Like a family, we are strict about some things — attendance, homework, our English-only policy and the number of students we accept from any one nationality. Students who are serious about achieving their learning objectives excel in our small classes supported by warm, dynamic instructors. Students also need to have fun — in our school, we never know when we'll have an impromptu birthday party, a hip-hop dance show, or a sing-along. Our students and staff are very talented!

ECSL prides itself on offering programs with challenging curricula and clearly defined outcomes. We partner with nine of Nova Scotia's universities and colleges to provide a University Achievement Program (UAP). Successful graduates of this program do not require an external exam score, such as TOEFL or IELTS. In addition, we provide general English (ECP), Academic TOEFL (AT), and a challenging English for Business (EFB) program. Students can also take part in internships with our partner school in Toronto. ECSL is a leader in developing customized ESL programs for groups. By partnering with universities, residential facilities, and other service providers, we offer numerous short-term specialized courses for undergraduate and graduate students, business leaders, and other special-interest groups. We also offer both rural and city summer camps for teenagers.
