Nova Scotia Summer Language Camps

0
Nova Scotia is one of Canada's leading tourist destinations. The beauty of our coastal province, the friendliness of our people, and a rich local culture combine to offer a unique, adventure-filled environment to visitors from around the world.

EduNova and its members are pleased to offer a variety of summer camp options for students wishing to experience a Canadian summer while improving language skills. We have a long history of hosting students from many countries and a proven track record of successfully immersing students in Canada's two official languages: English and French.

Timing
Summer camps are typically offered during the normal summer months of July and August. Camps can be customized to meet the needs of groups of students or students can choose from a list of available camps. Camps range in length from short, introductory camps of 1-2 weeks to longer language immersion camps of 6 weeks or more.

Programming
All language training programs are provided by accredited organizations. The camps are chaperoned and a variety of programming outside of language training is available including leadership training, IT training, desktop publishing, sports and leisure activities. Participating students receive certificates upon completion of their studies.

English and French Language Camps
English and French language training camps are available for all proficiency levels. Students must choose either an English camp or a French camp. Entrance tests are normally administered to determine proficiency levels and students are placed in classes accordingly. Exit testing is also often done so that students may measure their progress!

Accommodation
Students and their chaperones are housed in either residence style accommodations or with Nova Scotia families depending upon their requirements.

Costs
Packages can be prepared based upon the requirements of each student. Costs vary depending upon requirements and typically include the cost of tuition, a shared room and all meals, all transportation for program related activities, airport pick-up and drop-off, placement tests, and any program activities such as day trips and cultural events. Special requests for meals and religious customs may be accommodated if discussed ahead of time.
